Some banana in the taste but mostly citrus, with a slight sour edge. Medium mouthfeel, quite highly carbonated. Smooth, clean and very drinkable. Very good weissbier. Citric tones in the flavor but more subdued in the aroma which is dominated by the wheat. Crisp in mouth, overall extremely refreshing and thirst quenching. Pouring from bottle is extremely important on this beer, since yeast tends to add unwanted bitterness.
One of the few beers where the bottled version is superior to the tap. igel (196), New Mexico, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 1, 2004 This hefe weizen poured a hazy amber color with a full head and nice lace. The head diminished quickly, but the carbonation kept coming to give it a fresh bite throughout. It has a fruity smell (bananas), yet tastes more citrus. The taste was smooth with a biting finish. This hefe weizen is refreshing and lively. TheGrandMaster (1869), Auckland, New Zealand
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 28, 2005 Poured from the bottle. A cloudy coppery appearance beneath a good full head. Loved the aroma, with banana and honey coming through. Tasted very bitter for a wheat beer (I’m not complaining) and was very smooth over the palate. Would be the best wheat-based beer I have tasted for a while. Nekronos (2265), Xalapa, Mexico

Aroma is bursting with bananas and yeast. Pours is an nice golden orange, cloudy and with lively carbonation speeding up to a white frothy head. The head is about and inch tall and maintains itself well. Taste is subtley sweet, yes - bananas, light but earthy grains, giving way to a strong yeasty doughiness. The sweetness is well balanced by a light bitterness. Smooth texture, body is thin yet somehow creamy. Some unpleasant metal after the swallow. Leaves your mouth feeling lubed. I find this beer really refreshing. I passed the best afternoon of the quarter drinking these with a buddy until dinner.
