My favorite german wheat. I originally rated this a 5 but i have had better beers since. Still one of my favorites. Lovely banana, clove, and citrus flavors. Great beer.

Very good hefe-weizen. A sweet clove taste. Really stimulates the senses. Gotta find some Weihenstepaner.

Wow! What a great beer! It has a nice roundness from the yeast and wheat, which gives it a banana aftertaste. Not a beer for all the time, but a great refreshing beer after a hard day’s work.

A cascading waterfall of bubbles form the huge slowly settling impenetrable head over a cloudy light orange beer. Classic banana aroma. The flavor is creamy and banana-dominant with an excellent spicy finish. Classic weizen ... the standard in type.

First, THE HEAD--the stuff of legend--almost celestial with flecks of light dotting pillowy clouds stacked three fingers thick... the body is a blend of light yellow to dark orange--imposingly attractive... clove and vanilla mesh with banana in a beautiful bouquet, the scent strong but not overpowering... soft, almost watery(!) presence through the mouth; without the taste factor, a medium-bodied consistency that leaves a remainder to be savored... clove, banana, vanilla and a slight acidity that tickles the throat adding a bit of feistyness to an otherwise steady wheat backbone... I recall the first sips I ever had of Franziskaner and the following disbelief that a beer could taste this clean and refreshing, yet challenge the taste buds beyond the well-filtered American premium pilsner... ten years later, still a revelation for this beer drinker....

My favorite beer in the world, so far. This delicious Hefeweizen tastes and smells of clove, banana bread, almond, hops. Big yummy foam and classic cloudy body. WOO!!!

Had this on tap at the yard house. A wonderful hefeweizen true to its name.
