Aroma is spicy, banana-like, wheaty, a touch fruity and a little dusty almost like it has a little damage from light. Flavour is sweet, wheaty and spicy with underlying biscuit character and notes of fruit (banana), bubble gum, alcohol, cereal, bread and a little soap. There is more banana in the aroma than in the taste. Very pleasent and well crafted hefe, excellent. Brewsoc99 (29), Christchurch, New Zealand

Tastes very well-balanced. Yeasty, citric, fruity. Goes down very smooth. I think it´s the best of the very easily avaible Weizens. Rerate: After drinking hundreds of bottles of this beer I´ve probably got to rate it higher, and it never ceased to amaze me, so a couple more points are justified. warrior (213), Mt. Beer poured with a huge tall white head that lasts for some time, as it should. Yellow color and cloudy from the yeast that was swirled before pouring in the glass. Good clove spiceyness with with yeast flavor and a nice medium banana sweetness mixed in. Beer has a good finish that leaves me wanting more. A good classic german style wheat as I expect from a franziskaner. crzybob77 (528), Richmond, Virginia, USA
