Anyway, being the least expensive of the readily available German hefe’s, I wasn’t expecting this to be all that...and I was pleasantly surprised. Straw color, HUGE head and lacing. Absolutely beautiful. Sweet bubblegum smell with wheaty aspects. The flavor was also a tad sweeter than the "other" hefe’s, more bubblegum, less clove. Mouthfeel was extremely smooth...coulda convinced me my bottle came from a tap. Maybe a little less full in flavor, but if drinkability were a factor, I’d give it a 10. Delicious! loseratheart (110), USA

Has a nose of wheat more so than anything else. Wouldn’t expect nothing less from Franziskaner. Love it. PilsnerPeter (2653), Flushing, New York, USA

Crisp and refeshing taste which is balanced with a yeastyness and fruity flavors (bananas). Tingly refreshnig texture. Nice hefe weiss. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

Light orange and cloudy in appearance, not too much carbonation. This beer has good sweet and almost spicy flavor to it. Aroma and flavor is wheat, banana, and citrus. The draught version seems more spicy or something and seems to have a less hoppy flavor. This is a great hefe that I always enjoy drinking when I find it on draught.

Tasted the same, fresh bubblegum flavours all throughout with a nice whack of wheat to finish with on the aftertaste. mistersinalin (378), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

It seems to taste fresher than most. Maybe it is brewed here? FatguyRacer (132), Crownsville, Maryland, USA

Nice clean citris taste with little tinge of pepper and bananas on the back side. A very complex hefe, realitve to what i’ve been drinking. I really like this hefe. Im glad I bought a sixer. Topnotch!
