Has a cloudy yellow color and a fruit/spice smell. Taste is of wheat with bananas/fruit/spice flavors and finishes very smooth. Overall a great wheat.

Hazy orange with a medium frothy white head and very good lacing. Looked really good in a standard Berliner Weiss Goblet. Fresh malty aroma with plenty of fruity sweetness - bananas, pear and vanilla. Smooth creamy mouthfeel and more banana and floral herbs on the toungue. Satisfying finish. Very refreshing and entirely too easy to drink one after another.

If Consumer Reports rated quality beers, this would be considered a "best buy". A great Hefe-Weisse - a classic. Pick up a bottle or two a week for less than $2.00. This puts many premium priced beers of all styles to shame. Yeasty, citrussy aroma, nicely carbonated, and very very smooth. Some Hefe’s can be so tart or so sweet, they aren’t pleasant. This one is very drinkable. It is a thirst quencher.

Translucent gold with large white head but very little lacing.Aroma was clean and fresh.A smoky banana taste that was stronger than I expected. But still a good offering.

1 pint 0.9 fl oz. bottle. Pours a hazy dirty gold with thick off-white head. Plenty of effervescence. Aroma is yeasty and of bananas and spices. Taste is surprisingly smooth. Still tangy though not as much as I expected. Very refreshing and crisp. Taste is spicy and fruity. Excellent.

On tap at Pickle’s in State College, Pennsylvania, the new place, apparently to hang out. One of the better draughts they had available, and it being summer, I decided to give it a whirl. Not as flavorsome as their dunkel variety but still banana-nutty with notes of orange and citroen. At a trendy new place like this, I wonder how many other college kids actually drink this stuff. But kudos to the operators who decided to make it available.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with a crisp white head. Aroma is fruity, spicy. Drinks clean with a nice finish. A great find at the local beer store.
