Sampled many times and always look forward to the thick head of the pour. It is properly two fingers of solid head that will last the entire drink. Golden straw color is tremendous and the flavor is amazing and goes down so smooth. One of the best hefes! poopiemike (5), chicopee, Massachusetts, USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 12, 2007 A classic german style wheat. The beer had a distinct aroma of cloves and banana. The beer has a medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, and a nice long finish. The flavor was just as good as the aroma with a very distinct clove, banana, and spice taste. Overall, I absolutely love this beer. I like how the beer tastes like it smells. It is also good with a lemon slice in it. rampmaster (322), Alden, New York, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 13, 2008 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 16.9oz bottle into a weizen glass.
Appearance: It pours very cloudy and has a wonderful orangey yellow golden color with a big creamy white head. The head has great retention and makes nice lacing.
Smell: The aroma has earthy/fruity yeast character with notes of banana, clove and lemony citrus.
Taste/Mouth feel: Its flavor has a smooth creamy malty wheat flavor with a big earthy yeast influence. There are notes of banana and clove with some light hints citrus and hops. It all finishes with dry dusty yeast and very mild hops with citrusy lemon flavors.
Its carbonation is soft but active with a smooth and slightly slick texture in its medium body.
Notes: Overall it’s very refreshing and drinkable with all the wonderful flavors you expect in a good hefe-weizen.
