FishManLA (182), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA Jun 1, 2008 Pours a cloudy gold color with a medium-large head with fairly good persistance. Potent yeasty nose with malty and fruity notes. Taste is of banana and apple with a slight tartness. Tart apple-like finish.
nbutler11 (218), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Oct 10, 2008 Pours a cloudy light orange color from the tap with a trim white head. Smells of lemon and faint banana with heavy flavors of wheat, citrus, and breadcrust. Quite possibly the standard for this style. FabioSound (5), Italy does not count Oct 6, 2008 I like this beer good for me and for my taste! ;) I like the color and the perfume... FabioSound weaselkenievil (390), Cheshire, England Oct 4, 2008 Bottle from my local bottle shop. Poured a dark gold / orange with a nice head and good lacing. Definitle banana and fruit in there. Something about this didn’t hit the target for me. I did add to my rate that it was the last beer in a very very heavy session and to try again to see if it deserves more respect. pandashaver (4), , Alabama, USA does not count Sep 28, 2008 Aroma: citrus, yeasty, bread, orange, banana, cream and butter
Appearance: frothy white foam 2 finger head with excellent lacing; golden, cloudy orange throughout
Flavor: medium sweetness
Palate:light body, thin feel, average carbonation, pronounced yeast finish
Overall, this is a solid, refreshing beer that I would I be happy drinking on most any occasion. Had it several times, and it must be poured correctly with full head for proper enjoyment or the experience is severely hindered. Barleymine2 (3), Talent, Oregon, USA does not count Sep 27, 2008 This one pours a pale, opaque wheat/golden color with a shallow head and nice sticky yet fast lacing. Smells of wheat, grains and a lightly fruity pastures with slight hay notes. The taste is light but full. Flavors of wheat with a light bitterness and light barn-like notes on the finish. Has a fair amount of carbonation and the flavor finishes pretty quickly. A very nice brew overall.
