Fruity and yeasty flavour. Very light but an ok weiss.

Jul 6, 2007 Bottled 50cl. It pours a clear yellow beer with an average white head. Hay, glue and banana in the aroma with hints of white pepper appearing. There are quite a lot of overwhelming spices in the nose too with a whiff of cereal emerging every now and then.. All in all an amazingly complex yet not all that enjoyable, rather estery, slightly grainy nose. What about the flavor? I was hardly taken aback by the taste.. Watery, fruity including banana and melon, but just with a slight hint of the latter. Then, some white pepper and glue emerge destroying some of the beer’s very few qualities. Some soury grainy touch appears... The finish is rather light, dry and wheaty. I definately think the other Franziskaner are much superior to this one, but without dissaproving of the kristall klar. It’s decent, nothing more.

Jun 30, 2007 Bier trip in Köln, yeah! Big white head, clear yellow body. Aroma of lemon and grass. Nice cinnamony taste, quite long finish.
