Sweet and estery with notes of vanilla. Most of the flavour of the hefeweizen remains, but it just feels duller. TheGrandMaster (1867), Auckland, New Zealand

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 28, 2007 Dark yellow colored, lively carbonation. Vanishing white head. Aroma is crispy with spices, banana, some strong lemony tones and wheat. Thin to medium bodied, strongly carbonated. Flavor is not as good as aroma: some dry cardboard with banana and mild spices, aftertaste dries even more. Too much carbonation there. Muggus69 (538), Sydney, Australia
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 19, 2007 Chilled 500ml bottle served in weizen glass. Bready wheat malt aroma, bit of clove spice in there, nothing outstanding though. Clean pale gold body with a big white foamy head. Flavour is quite nice, bubblegum sweetness, orange and citrus flavours, caramel-like maltiness, some spice towards the finish, bit of bready yeast flavour too. Seems a bit tart towards the finish, the slightest bit metallic. I prefer the Hefeweizen. faroeviking (6119), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 31, 2007 Bottle. Pale golden color with a nice big foamy fully lasting white head. Yeasty and citrus aroma. Sweet clean rather thin flavor with some ok maltiness and yeast. Bitterish finish. Good wheat beer but not as good as its brothers. dj (422), Gloucestershire, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 30, 2007 Bottle, 500ml. A pale yellow colour with a large foaming head. A musty aroma with some sweet orange. Taste is orange and wheat with an unusual citrus and caramel finish. Somewhat watery and weak-tasting. High carbonation. This is easy enough to drink, but it’s nothing to get excited about. SilkTork (4174), Rochester, Kent, England

Sept, 2009 Keg at Gypsy Moth, Greenwich. Served very cold, but banana flavours do come through. Finishes on a moderate dry note with a hint of savlon. Reasonably attractive and drinkable. [2.9]
