A musty aroma with some sweet orange. Taste is orange and wheat with an unusual citrus and caramel finish. Somewhat watery and weak-tasting. High carbonation. This is easy enough to drink, but it’s nothing to get excited about. SilkTork (4184), Rochester, Kent, England

Sept, 2009 Keg at Gypsy Moth, Greenwich. Served very cold, but banana flavours do come through. Finishes on a moderate dry note with a hint of savlon. Reasonably attractive and drinkable. [2.9] yespr (12407), Copenhagen O, Denmark

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 26, 2006 Bottle 50cl. Poured clear gold with a blooming white head. High carbonation. Cool sweet wheaty aromas. Classic bubblegum flavour, a little fruity - banana - but no so much as other weizen I’ve had. Slightly acidic in the aftertaste. Slick palate, extremely easy to drink and goes down well. Decent kristalweiss. almopina (87), Madrid, Spain

Aroma of banana and some spice and pepper. Quite creamy and spicy on the tongue. The Tastes banana and wheat mainly. Very good aftertaste. Stefano (1344), Esbjerg, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 16, 2006 Pours pale yellow with a huge foamy white head. Mad bubbles swirling for a long time. Aroma is spice and ripe banana. The wheat comes out in the taste, with a borderline creamy mouthfeel. Kind of like a lite version of their weisse, with a bit more body. Surpsingly drinkable and smooth. convex (31), Wroclaw, Poland

Snowy ice cream-cone head. Candyish banana snout. The same rounded fruitiness and wheaty softness as the unfiltered version. Maybe just a touch of bitterness in the finish. Plenty of character and moreish fruitiness for a Kristall.
