Picked up a bottle of this beer, having tryed the 3 others, with some doubt. The appearance is wonderful...what a beut in the head department!!! the smell is similair to bananas and cloves., odd, but still great, and the taste is sweet and full that hints of the style, this beer has made me like wheat beers again!

Bottled. Hazy yellowish with a rather large head. Sweetish and fruity with notes of banana. Slighlty sharp feel.

Well they sure as hell make good-looking beers. The heads on the Franziskaner range are always formidable and last longer than Wagner’s Ring cycle. This one is no exception, and it’s as kristall-klar as you’d expect for the style. Lovely bananas’n’cream aroma with classic clove notes and some nose-prickling pepper. Very true to style. The flavour mix is more of the same - mashed banana, bubblegum and some clove bite to the finish. It’s quenching, with some late lemon candy sourness. The carbonation is a little hard for my taste but that’s a minor criticism. Overall, a very good kristallweizen. (500ml bottle from Camperdown Cellars, Darlinghurst. Best before Jan 07)

Bottle from Germany. Bit boring, starts off with some nice citrus notes, but then meanders off into nothing much.

I don’t like light clair beer that much but this one is very nice to go with meals or snacks. I enjoyed it.

Light yellow color. Nice foamy head. Fruity aroma with a touch of yeast. Yeast dominates the flavor with some banana notes. Very refreshing and extremely drinkabel beer. Nice !
