Clean taste. Not as much flavour as I wanted. Could do with more aroma too. Yeasty and nice head. Bit like a thin Duvel. But drinkable.A Weiss for lager drinkers

500ml bottle - Pours crystal clear and golden iwth a big, puffy head. It has a very light, yeasty aroma. The flavor is wheat, a little yeast, and some light citrus notes. It’s smooth on the palate and lightly hoppy. The finish is crisp and refreshing. The body was a little thin. Yes, it could use more flavor, but for what it is, it’s good.

Bright clear yellow with big white head. Aromas are citric, banana and some spices. The taste is not particularly powerful, lending only a shimmer of malts and fruitiness.

In Eisenach, Germany. From 500 ml bottle. Poured a very clear golden color wth a nice wihite head head lasted quite a while and leff some decent lacing. Very nice nose of citrus, fruit, and spices. Very smooth mouthfeel, and smooth drinking. Nice finish. This is a very nice beer.

Franziskaner can’t go wrong in my opinion. Sure, this was lacking the cloudy unfiltered appearance of the hefeweizen, but it sure didn’t lack the yeastiness, the citrus, the bananas, and even the cloves of the standard Franziskaner hefe. The pour was golden clear yellow with bubble rising regularly to the top. The head was incredibly and lasted even through the warming to the last sip. The lacing was solid. The hay flavors did manage to come out as it warmed after 15mins or so, and the beer was just flat out drinkable. I think I prefer my weizens unfiltered, but the two kristaweizens I’ve had, weren’t missing much outside of appearance. Great stuff (slightly thinner mouthfeel than the hefe).
