Jun 21, 2006 500ml bottle. Pours pale yellow with a large head.Very nice, crisp carbonation, great palate. Fresh and clean with citrus hints but I look forward to trying the hefe more so.

Jun 5, 2006 Franziskaner can’t go wrong in my opinion. Sure, this was lacking the cloudy unfiltered appearance of the hefeweizen, but it sure didn’t lack the yeastiness, the citrus, the bananas, and even the cloves of the standard Franziskaner hefe. The pour was golden clear yellow with bubble rising regularly to the top. The head was incredibly and lasted even through the warming to the last sip. The lacing was solid. The hay flavors did manage to come out as it warmed after 15mins or so, and the beer was just flat out drinkable. I think I prefer my weizens unfiltered, but the two kristaweizens I’ve had, weren’t missing much outside of appearance. Great stuff (slightly thinner mouthfeel than the hefe).

May 29, 2006 Bottle. Golden with a white head. Aromas are banana, wheat and yeast with fresh cream and spices. Flavours are lemon, wheat and yeast with banana. Fresh tasting with some metal. Has a nice level of carbonation. Refreshing.

May 14, 2006 Aroma is moderate yeasty. Frothy huge white head. Mostly lasting. Body hue is light yellow. Initial flavor of citrus. Average finish duration. Good palate.

Apr 7, 2006 (Holiday Tenerife) The best beer I had during my holiday. (I must admit, it was not a ’beer-holiday’ :-) ) Aroma of wheat, some yeast and bananas. Clear yellow coloured brew with a thin, white, lasting head. Taste is slightly sweet, citric, wheaty, yeasty with a touch of bananas. Fresh and a bit watery. Nice balance.

Mar 20, 2006 Bottled from Sainsburys. Bit of a sorbet beer, like their hefe with all the great bits taken out. Some washy weiss notes but a rather strange brew overall.
