Sweet with bananna esters and an herbal spiciness, just a touch of dryness rounds it out. Bitter taste up front, opens up to a great citrus taste while maintaining dry bitterness. Well balanced. Body was a little watery which was a dissapointment, but the rest of this beer is quite good. lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 10, 2005 Pours a very pale white gold. Fizzy, with a huge egg-shell head and quite lacy. Smells grassy and peppery. Light banana and clove aromas as well.
Taste is fruity wheat malt, underpinned nicely with wispy banana and clove flavors. Lightly bitter in the finish. Crisp and refreshing. Surprisingly good. Not only do the Germans make a superior hefeweizen, they may just make the best filtered wheats as well.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 29, 2005 Pour is a pale yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is yeasty but nothing overpowering. Flavor is a little banana here and a little yeast there but again nothing overpowering. There is nothing bad with this beer and its the first i have had of this style. Its just missing something. I would describe this as half lager and half hefe. Nekronos (2265), Xalapa, Mexico

Pours clear golden, with a huge fluffy marshmallow white head that lasted for what seemed like an eternity. As it slowly receded it left chunks of sticky lace in it’s wake.
Aroma is fruity and a little grainy.
Flavor is a litle fruity with a little pepper.
Finish is clean with a little touch of wheat. I prefer the unfilterd version. SDalkoholic (1198), Chula Vista, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 6, 2005 Aroma has medium strength and is malt, apple, and yeast. Also in the flavor the same things are found but the apple is more sour and the yeast is obviously a fine strain of its kind only found in Germany or neighboring countries. Somewhat of a pepper taste with hint of lime leaf. Gold in a appearance with some light green tint found. Fizzy white head that is naturally big at first but will be put into check within a matter of a minute. Good drinking beer, and i was able to put my weizen glass back to use. carlitos99 (184), The Big Apple, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 16, 2005 They sell this one around the corner at the german deli by my house. It’s not anywhere near the caliber of the other models brewed available in Germany. I will say it has a clean taste on a hot day if you want something less wheatty. hawkshadow (102), Rural Retreat, Virginia, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 13, 2005 It is what it is. Super clean, superb aroma. It is a wheat beer at it’s best. No bad attributes. Yes, I understand there are better beers, but it is exceptional for it’s kind. Great flavor combination, with good taste and aftertaste. I’m sorry, I’m partial to this brewery!
