Mild DMS in the aroma turning more like a weizen with spritzy notes of bananas and yeastly breads in the nose. Fruity. Looks like budweiser with a big white fluffy head. Start is quite spritzy and carbonated without much taste. Kind of like tonic water. Grainy/corniness in the middle finishing bready and lightly lactic and sour with hints of bananas. This sort of tastes like 50% macro BMC and 50% average Weiss beer. turbo (1254), Arizona, USA

Light malt and fruit flavor but had a bit of a metalic taste on the finish.
Not bad overall. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 27, 2004 The commercial description reads, "For those who desire a weissbier without yeast." Who is that? This has much the same aroma and taste as Franziskaner’s hefe-weizen, but lacks that extra dimension that the bottle conditioning adds. Less fruitiness, less depth and complexity of taste, less enjoyment. This is still a decent drink, but it pales in comparison to the real deal. I’ve found the same to be true with all of the Kristalweizens. Dorqui (1361), Brescia, Italy
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 25, 2004 Yellow color much limpid and diamond. Much effervescent. Adherent foam and much long-lasting one. Fresh aroma. Much fizzy, nearly prickly. Medium persistence. Altogether pleasant even if I prefer the Dunkel version. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 24, 2004 Bottle Gold, with a hug white foamy head and crazy carbonation. The aroma is like the hefe-weissbeer, yet is lacking some of the wheat and seems a little bit more acidic. The banana and spices are alike though. The flavors are a bit thin. They are all there but none of them are all that bold. Wheat comes out the most and some citrus shows. The palate is a little tangy and the body is watery. It finishes dry and citrusy. ogivlado (3088), Zagreb, Croatia
