Aroma is similar to a hefewiezen, but toned down a bit. Flavor is the same as a hefe but more subtle. More crisp however. Decent. More interesting than enjoyable. crazyvin (1254), New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2004 my first time having this style. A very malty bread like presece with some citrus notes. Yellow body almost clear with a full white head which seemed too last. shrubber85 (2934), Wallhalben, Germany

Clear dark yellow color. Primarily malt flavor with light sweet fruitiness - banana and cherry - very mild hops finish. This is a very ful-bodied Kristall - one of the best of its type - Franziskaner is a very reliably good Weizen in all its types robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

I Have to Admit, After Seeing the Color of the Brew, I Was Worried, but It Wasn’t Bad! Malty, Coriander Spice...Dry at the End... Smooth and Drinkable. IHCNavistar (93), Orinda, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 7, 2004 Bottle. Aroma is of fruit, with very strong emphasis on banana and other citrus aromas. Slight hops aroma. Pours a light gold color. Head is *VERY* thick and pillowy, lasting damn near forever. Great lacing. Flavor is estery, with banana being most prominent. Some hops and wheat. Carbonation is a little too light. Still, a repeat buy! Nate (2554), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Nov 3, 2004 Wheaty aroma, grain, light citrus, but mostly estery banana and fruity hops. Clear golden body with pillowy white lacing head. Medium watery body with medium-high, efferevescence. Same Franziskaner taste, but a little cleaner and thinner than the unfiltered version. Banana notes, wheaty, still some yeasty characteristics, but light. Crisp hops. Finish is smooth, with fruity clean after. willblake (2182), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Pours crystal clear straw color with a giant head that actually overflowed my Schneider Weisse glass, despite it having been freshened. Light aromas of banana, light spice, slightly barny. Flavor is not fruity-sweet like many wheat beers, rather dry, a bit on the sour side, but with an out of place, sugary sweetness that lingers. Some citric tartness, chalky even. Quite quaffable. I’m not sold on the style. bluevegie (2213), Perth, Australia
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 5, 2004 Clear pale golden body with a large white head. Aroma of cloves, banana and yeast. Lemon is in the taste along with the cloves, medium body, also I noticed some bubblegum. A good wheat beer to start your journey of this style of beer.
