Flavor is soft. Yeast and clove are present. Faint bitterness at the end. DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 5, 2004 Bottle from Rai Wines, Birmingham. Wheaty, sugar puff aroma. Fizzy yellow appearance, with a loose, bubbly head. Nice bubblegum flavour to kick off with, though things become blander in the finish, and I'm left with a watery, metallic wash. Big and bouncy in taste, though rather soft and flabby in mouthfeel. This lacks the bite and refreshment which should be provided by this style, and the end I was becoming overwhelmed by unbalanced sweetness. fly (1332), austin, Tejas, USA

Need to throw back into my rotation of beers to have now and then as it had been a while. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 13, 2004 This was unimpressive. I think reglar ole spaten premium is preferable over this. Surprisingly watery and foamy and blah... sayravai (3756), Helsinki, Finland
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 1, 2004 Quite pale lager color, big foamy head. Yeasty citrus aroma, not as strong as in the hefeweizen. Sweetish banana flavor with a bitter finish. More harsh, watery and carbonated palate than in the hefeweizen. Kristallklar clearly cries for the missing yeast. This is what you get for removing the most important ingredient from a weizen. AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 27, 2004 Very pale, very clear. Thick frothy head, fully lasting. High level of carbonation. Smells slightly of bananas. Flavor is sweet but crisp. Nice lace all the way up and down the glass. Aftertaste leaves bananas lingering on the roof of my mouth. BückDich (4854), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 27, 2004 Filtered clear straw color with large carbonated head and lots of lacing. The aroma is lighly citrusy with some malt tones and a little wheat. The flavor is balanced and clean, definate balance. Finished slightly watery and bland but not too bad at all. I don't know if I'd drink this again.
