Smell of malt, some hops, Chocolate, caramel, Woppers(malted milk balls), Baileys Irish Cream and a touch of alcohol. Tastes the same but better. Nice chocolate and caramel notes. It tastes better while it warms up. Can taste the malt and sweet chocolate. My God I never would have thought that Miller would ever come up with a beer like this. My wife even likes this and she is not a beer drinker. Great Job Miller! Duellist17 (34), Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA

A surprisingly good beer from such a broad distributor. Great after a meal. Much more than a traditional Chocolate Lager or stout. It actually tastes like they almost melted a chocolate bar into every bottle. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Oct 10, 2007 Had this beer on 6/6/2007. Aroma has a light coco scent . Color solid amber with good carbonation and a nice tight head. Taste is chocolaty and sweet. Starting with medium body that goes down smooth and a sweet taste coming on. Then the finish comes in with a bold coco flavor, some mild malt tones and is balanced out with a faint bitter feel. This is the best chocolate beer I have ever had and one of the best beers ever. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 12, 2006 Stunningly well done combination of the two best flavors on this planet. Anintoxicating wonderful chocolate aroma, and a smooth pleasant slightly burnt chocolate taste. If you dont think chocolate is a good mix with beer ,then you are obviously not a stout or porter lover, this is better then the uber expensive Sam Adams Chocolate bock or even the Rouge chocolate Stout. Its the last beer of the night , you only drink one of these, and you sip it slowly,I hope Miller comes out with this every year baseballguy (246), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA

We shouldn’t allow an ingrained prejudice against macrobrewers (and megabrewers such as Miller) blind us to accomplishment when it occurs. This is a very fine chocolate beer, which immediately reminded me favorably of Youngs Double Chocolate Stout. I would unquestionably buy this again, and that’s the crucial test. Hats off to Miller for a most enjoyable beer. The correct spelling is "Frederich Miller," by the way.
