Adenila (689), Denmark Sep 14, 2008 Rating #18from the european beer festival 2008.
Aroma of smoke and liquirice. It has a very good balance between its sweetness and bitterness with the sweetness comming forth as soft chocolate. Mild plesant palate thewolf (3983), Kolding, Denmark Mar 2, 2008 Bottle @ thewolf tasting.

Pours pitch-black with a big, creamy beige head. Super duration and lacing. Really a beautiful beer. Aroma is soft, lots of sweet chocolate, light roasted malts. Low carbonation, but still manages to be fresh and light. Flavour is complex, some smoke, then chocolate, powerfully roasted. And a long, lingering silky soft finish. Wonderful! after4ever (1753), Brier, Washington, USA May 6, 2008 50 cl. Thanks, thewolf! Pours black with a thick, slightly pillowy, creamy dark tan head. Plenty of solid sheets of lace--looks like a cookie sheet after you’re scraped the cookies off. Big rich roasty nose, peaty, liqoricey. Wow, this smells amazingly delicious. Rich, creamy body. Plenty of roast and smoke and peat on the mid-palate. A bit sharp and overcarbonated, but otherwise inspired in every way. Mild but persistent chocolatey finish. yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Apr 19, 2008 Bottle, thx to thewolf. It pours a really dark brown body, with a big, dense tan head to top it of. Looks really delicious. The nose is smoked, almost like a porter meets rauchbier, with burnt malt, chocolate and coffee filling in between. Very smoked start on the flavor, then burnt malt, chocolate, coffee and a faint flavor of marzipan comes along. It is silky and smooth in the mouth, yet sweet enough to feel slightly sticky. Dry and roasted. Really like this one, it’s far from being a session beer, but if you want to sit down and relax with a nice beer, this one could give you joy for an hour or so. (080301)
