gunnfryd (2743), Kristiansand, Norway Jan 16, 2008 Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, grass. Flavour is fruit, malt, grass. Thin beer. Sigmund (1961), Hafrsfjord, Norway Nov 27, 2007 330 ml clear bottle, thanks to yngwie! ABV is 4.7%. Pale golden colour, large head. Aroma of pilsener malts and boiled vegetables. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour has, unlike most Norwegian "Sommerøl", actually traces of both malts and hops, with a moderate sweetness. Not a great beer, but better than I feared. yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Nov 12, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear, almost golden body, with a minimal white head leaving nice lacings. Quite nice, malty aroma with a little fruity note of hops. The flavor is on the malty side as well, with a weak bready touch and some bitterness without leaving much hop flavor. Medium body, with a slightly sticky impression. It finishes quite malty, but the bitterness is more pronounced here, and so is the bready note. For a Norwegian summer beer, it is very nice. It could use a bit more hops, especially in the aroma, but it definately is a nice, pale lager. Refreshing and quite tasteful, easy to drink and (strangely enough) not forgettable. I find it strange that this is only distributed locally. (071112) Ole_R (1304), Oslo, Norway Jun 13, 2007 Bottle. One of a dozen, pale and light, grainy and sweetish, not bad, not good, but rateble, drinkable and unimpressive. Average pale lager all over. Hints of dry grassy hops in the aroma though... Magic_dave6 (4012), London, Greater London, England Aug 29, 2006 Aroma is grassy but turns sweaty, taste is similar and becomes boring quickly.
