As Astra is a pretty good session beer. Not a lot there to overwhelm, but enough to make it interesting. Dark red to brown in color, served with no head. Aromas of backed goods, and some brown sugar. Light sweet toasted flavor with decent bitterness. Light inthe body. Ungstrup (15376), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Tap:
I thought it was a very nice dark reddish-brown-copper color (not quite as dark as mahogony wood). Had more carbination than I was expecting (in appearence, as it wasn’t there as much in mouthfeel). Definitly some carmel and sweet malty flavor. bu11zeye (5621), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2004 Biscuit malt in aroma, nice cherry-mahoghany color that shimmers in the glass. Thick, sweetish, caramel flavor, unhoppy and yet dryish finish. Solid mouthfeel. Flavorful but not real appealing to me.
