Enniskillen (1589), Port Angeles, Washington, USA May 20, 2008 Amber with a thin white head. Aroma is caramel, citrus, yeast, lightly hoppy. Taste is toffee with a light hoppiness, light maltiness, and caramel. Good stuff. eboats (834), Omaha, Nebraska, USA May 7, 2008 Growler. Pours amber with an off white/tan head. Aroma is a light citrus hop with pilsner malt. Flavor is light hops, some floral notes, lightly toasted, some malt. Crisp finish. Gregis (923), Shawnee, Kansas, USA May 27, 2007 On tap @ the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a frothy off-white head. It has a fairly muted aroma, primarily of sweet malts (caramel) and a faint fruity hop presence. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and surprisingly creamy/smooth; quite nice. This is a very smooth and well-balanced beer, with the sweetness of the malts perfectly countered by the bittering hops. I was quite impressed with how consistent it was in flavor from start to finish. I look forward to next year’s batch. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Aug 1, 2006 Sticky sweet and a bit light for the style, but has a nice caramel malt component. Sweet fruitiness, with a bit of chalky bitterness in the mid palate. Overall a decent bock, but like I said could be a little bigger. jujubeast6000 (502), Houston, Texas, USA May 7, 2006 Growler from brewery: Pours an amber red/brown color, decent sized head, white, somewhat diminishing. Very malty aroma, some hops. Malty taste, very sweet, somewat acidic. Nutty, smooth, some citrus. Good session beer.
