Tons of hop in the aroma. Citrus, earthy and floral. Covers up the malt completely. Very big hop flavor. Hops right from the start to a long bitter finish. The bitterness is moderate strength. This leans so much to the hop that you can’t tell if there is malt. While not even close to being balanced it is very tasty and drinkable. Ray1975 (251), Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Nov 11, 2005 draft.. Poured a hazy orange color with a large white head. Aroma was heavy on hops with a nice sweet addition. The flavor on this was hop overload in a good way!! sticky resinous hoppy that slapped you in the face at the first drink and kept giving upper cuts throughout. there was a good amount of sweetness in this beer but it was no match for the amount of hoppiness. Medium mouthfeel with good carbonation and I could not detect an alcohol flavor at all but after 3 glasses of this I definitely knew it was there. Its been two days since I drank this and I can still taste the hops. Big thanks to Beerhandy for sharing this one with me. beerhandy (195), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 2/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 8, 2005 Draft 16 oz. Pint Glass it is a hazy dull copper with a nice tight head that fades to a light lacing of lingering off white foam.
The aroma is pine, citrus and dare I say skunk not light struck but a resiny sinsimilla type odor.
The taste is sweet caramel malt until the explosion of hops does a palette overload and gives it an astringent dry finish.
This is hop juice and not for non-hopheads, the intense hoppiness fills your mouth and really overwhelms the malt. The body is thick and almost chewy. It’s a very drinkable
Double IPA, which is sure to please any hop lover

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 18, 2005 Drank from a growler compliments of harliequin Dark hazy ruby and orange fire color with thick white head and no lacing. The nose is full of earthy hops, lots of columbus (which I’m not fond of) and other cascadey likeness. A respectable underlying malt body hides under the hop front. The flavor is a bit on the sweet side but the bitterness lands on par with some of the other imperial IPA greats out there. A very drinkable super hoppy beer. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 12, 2005 Super hops! Can’t go wrong with the c-hops. This is loaded with piney and citrusy hop character with a nice malt backbone. I had no idea it was 7.8%; didn’t taste too alcoholic at all. Outstanding. KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 8, 2005 Definitly a hop heads’ beer. The hop flavors dominated the aroma and taste both. Dispite the large hop taste there wasnt an overwhaleming bitter/dry aftertaste, and I was suprised with that. tjthresh (1778), Greenfield, Indiana, USA

Full of hop flavor with enough malt to hang. MED/FULL body. I was surpised to see this beer listed as a double/imperial IPA. To drink it, it seems just a touch stronger that Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 27, 2004 Updated: Sep 4, 2006Pours orange/brown with a nice of white head. The head on mine left fairly quickly (tasted out of a growler) and left lacing. The smell is hoppy, floral. The beer is really balanced. The flavor is malty, giving away quickly to a hoppy flavor that leaves a nice dry aftertaste. The mouthfeel is really nice. I really expected to be overwelhmed with the hops, but it is not that way at all. I had this at the brewery for the first time right after a Copperhead Pale Ale (an IPA) and I thought that this wasn’t hoppy at all, but after having it on it’s own, it is. ADDITIONAL NOTES-I am drinking this off the keg I bought of it and I can really taste the Columbus hops that are used throughout the making of the beer. The hops all combine to give it a nice range of hops flavors from your citrus, pine, and floral to the more mild earthy flavor and aroma. Still very malty, but with a nice bitterness that is certainly not mild or smooth, but is one that has a bit of harshness (not a bad thing) for those that love the SN Bigfoot or Bells Two Hearted type of bitterness. Great stuff.
