Commercial Description:
This flavorful beer is made in the style of the India Pale Ale Style originally manufactured in Great Britain for their colonies in India, but with an American twist. The harsh travel that the beer had to survive required a strong, hoppy beer. The Hops and the high level of alcohol helped buffer the beer through its long travels. Made with flavorful and full bodied Pale Ale malt combined with a touch of caravienne for color and carapils for body, the rich flavor of this beer is matched and enhanced by a very generous portion of Centennial and Cascade hops. The Cascades give this beer its distinctive floral aroma and a uniquely American character.
O.G. - 14.5/1058. Hops - 48.5 IBUs.

Pint at the brew pub pours a hazy copper color with a thin white head . Aroma is dominated by citrusy hops. Flavor is lots of hops up front with a nice malty sweetness in the finish.

[914-20071205] Growler (c/o PhillyBeer2112, w/ him, boboski, DragonStout, redlight). Candied pine cone floral resin aroma. Slightly hazy, dark orange brown body with quick off-white bubbles. Initially bitter grainy grass flavour with a metallic and sweet finish. Medium body finishes bitterly. A little past prime but not bad.

Thanx to Philly2112. Caramelly with some pine in the aroma. Pours pale amber. Slightly oxidized from being in the growler for too long but there was still a good beer in there! Citrus and pine flavors, some apple skins. Good.

Shared from a growler at the Cincy gathering. Poured amber in color with a small off white head. The aroma was floral and pine hops with a little malt sweetness and a slight funk. The flavor was hoppy with citrus being more prominent (missing from the nose?), sweet malt, wheat bread and some vanilla. A touch on the thin side, but easy to drink. Thanks to mreusch for the trade.

Growler shared by alexsdad06 at Cinncy gathering. An amber pour wht a light white lace and head. A hoppy malty aroma that is clean. Flavor of sweet malt with a good bitter. A bit thin but smooth palate. A good beer with good hops. I like it.

Shared with the Cincinnati folks. Clear amber color out of the growler with a thin off white head. Piney hop nose with some toffee sweetness. The flavor tended towards the grapefruit and orange juice hops with a toffee and bread backbone. Solid IPA.

growler from a very generous trader, mreusch. This beer was highly drinkable, and something I would love to have around as a sessionable pale ale. Not much in the way of over the top hop flavor, but that’s okay here, enjoyable.
