Commercial Description:
Brewed for the co-operative farms. A special edition ale using barley grown on our own farms made into malt in the traditional way. A chestnut brown ale, with an initial bitterness then a fully rounded character absolutely packed with malt flavour. The beer has an aromatic finish derived from Worcestershire Sovereign hops grown especially for Freeminer.

Bottle, from Co-op Mablethorpe. Deep copper bronze, thin but lasting white head and gentle condition. Gentle sweet toffee, vanilla and hazelnuts in the nose, again sweet in the mouth with an earthy edge and a touch of fruitiness although some hop bitterness emerges with time, finish is all burnt toffee and dry bitterness with low sticky sweetness lingering.

Bottle, Co-Op Cheadle. Dark gold brown with a thick white head that wilted quickly. Light caramel malt hints with a weak and watery bitter metallic finish. Not nice.

Bottle, Co-Op Hoylake. Poured a reddy brown colour with a dissipating off white head. Aroma and flavourwas caramel malt heavy with some muted hop. Some low key bitterness going down. Unremarkable yet tolerably drinkable.

Bottle, Co-op. Dark copper colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts and slightly hoppy. Flavour has sweet caramel malts. Dry finish.

caramel colour with a large off white head that rapidly disappeared. Getting a hoppy aroma with a hint of malt. It has a slightly bitter edge to it and tastes of hops.

500ml bottle from Coop in Folkestone. Its an ok golden ale. Bit of dusty malt, bit of hop on aroma. Quite drinkable. Decent premium bitter. Good malts, nice balancing hop. Good drinkability. Some decent yeast character. Yep, Id buy it again.

Bottle. Some bitterness but not over poweringly so. Reminds me of a lager rather than a bitter. Pleasant maltiness and an all round well balanced drink.
