Commercial Description:
Morning Wit After the long, difficult process of lautering our Double Rye Wit, we decided to let the mash sit overnight—a veritable sour mash—and brew our second runnings experiment the following day. The result is a highly quaffable beer with a refreshingly tart acidity. The addition of coriander to the finish and low bitterness make Morning Wit pop on the palate—try it with the addition of Raspberry or Sour Cherry syrup a la Berliner Weiss, or drink it on its own to experience the full pleasure of this new addition to our lineup.

Draft at the brewery. Hazy light yellow color. Nose is very tart and citrusy-interesting. Flavors of tart citrus, tangy, light yeast. Light body and a good summer beer. Enjoyable.

(Growler thanks to travita) Pours cloudy whitish yellow with good head and lacing. Nose of coriander, sour cherries, cinnamon and lemon. The taste is quite spicy, lemon zest, and great subdued sour flavors that make this one very refreshing. Nice oily body that is watery enough to be super drinkable. Maybe the easiest to drink beer I’ve ever had, and definitely the best witbier.

Growler thanks to travita. Pours with a small white head over a hazy whitish body. Aroma is slightly tart lemon, tons of coriander and a bit of pepper. Taste is spicy, and dry with wheat, pepper and coriander. Light bubbles and light bodied.

Growler courtesy of travita. Cloudy light yellow pour. Smell has a sharp spicy feeling with some floral and grain. A bit of citrus as well. Some soapy tastes with a ton of cilantro as well. Spiced flavors remain for awhile. Kind of a let down on the finish.
