| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Feb 8, 2005 Nice malty aroma, grainy, rye, bit of molasses. Light hops presence, paper. Dark orange-brown clear with off-white foamy lacing head with decent retention. Medium watery body with light-medium carbonation. Taste starts semi-sweet and with some acidity. Light papery taste, followed with some very light molasses-sugar or burnt rye bread taste. Finish is medium acidic and mildly bitter. After is medium bitter with hint of rye sweetness. Tasted a bit old, but not bad for a discount-grocery type of beer. dortmunder (961), Herdecke, Germany
