ucusty (1015), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Aug 28, 2008 Hazy amber pour with a frothy white head and thick lace. Biscuit malts on the nose. Caramel, toast, and citrus Beerlando (1256), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 15, 2008 Bottle. Stated IBU = 42. Pours a hazy medium orange-amber color with a frothy, bubbly, cream colored head. Wet, soapy lacing drips down the glass. The aroma shows light, toasty biscuit malts, white bread, grassy hops and orange peel. Flavors are well balanced and delicate. Toffee and toasted bread provide a nice, subtle malt bed for dry grassy and bitter citrus hops. The finish is crisp and lightly peppery. Medium-light bodied, with balanced carbonation, the palate is dry, bording on astringent. Overall, this is a pretty nice little session brew. Solid. Ibrew2or3 (1685), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Aug 4, 2008 Courtesy of Gillard. Bomber pours clear copper with off white head. The aroma is mild malts along with a bit of vague citrus hops. The flavor has a kiss of hoppiness coming from orange peel and tangelo. Then I get crystal malts and a nuttiness building into an tart and drying malt astringency. It ends with moderate bitterness. Seems like a nut brown ale leaning toward astringency meets an ESB. chandler0201 (102), Durham, North Carolina, USA Aug 3, 2008 Kind of a strong body with hint of malt liqour carbonation. Nutty taste and slight bitterness. timsilvia32 (197), born in Michigan, North Carolina, USA Jul 29, 2008 Solid amber pour. Good aroma, floral, slight nut and malt. Medium body, good amount of carbonation. Pretty much the same flavor as aromas. Good bite and clean at the finish. I enjoyed this one, pretty good overall and drinkable.
