Medium body, good amount of carbonation. Pretty much the same flavor as aromas. Good bite and clean at the finish. I enjoyed this one, pretty good overall and drinkable. fishingnet (1047), Brandon, Florida, USA

Pours copper/amber.
Aroma filled with earthly yeast, some spices and citrus notes.
Taste is filled with malty/sugary and lightly spicy. Well balanced but nothing spectacular. JCB (1796), Durham, North Carolina, USA

The aroma ws very nicely spicy, with some citrusy hops in there that suggest a hybrid version of the style. Nice amber color, full head and mouthfeel. This one seems a bit underrated to me. nearbeer (1882), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 2, 2008 650 ml. Orange-amber and clear with a huge creamy head that takes a while to settle, and laces the glass well. Vegetal, slight citrus and earth-spice aromas. Grainy caramel and woody hops are in balance on the front, with dry wood and bitter nut flavors winning out in the end. Flavor almost like rye bread at times. Medium body is smooth and finishes nicely dry. DrBayern (1137), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA

Clear orange pour under an off white head of medium size and durability, and showing some respectable lace. Aroma has lots of caramel, some grainy notes, and a slightly spicy background.
Medium bodyand carbonation, smooth, easy drinking, nothing objectionable on the palate. Sweet up front with toffee and caramel, soft bitterness comes on at the end to dry out the finish. All in all , reserved, yet drinkable, a solid session beer. Nate (2569), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 24, 2008 From draught sample at French Broad. Light malty aroma with a bit of grassy hops and caramel or honey. Golden amber clear with no head. Medium watery body with medium-high carbonation. Fairly dry ESB, needs a bit more malt. Nice hoppy finish but a bit acidic, maybe too much carbonation in there. barcia (3), USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 5, 2008 Nice alternative to doing a super trendy pale ale. Smells bready with a little dark fruit. Taste nice and clean with a big hop finish
