Someone went f’in crazy with the carbonation on this thing. jeez this beer is already a pain in the arse. 1/10th beer 9/10ths foam! Shall I rate this tomorrow? You know what I am drinking out of the damn bomber. Anyways. Sweet caramel aroma? What the heck is that all about. Biscuits and fruits as the label says, no arguments here, but not in a good way. A seemingly pungent beer. There is this acute sweet aroma that has confused me as to what it is. Dark orange almost brown in color. Very carbonated with a bad malt taste. Not so much on the big hoppy finish as promised. Wow, this is kind of offensive, but as a dedicated beer drinking I am finishing this one. AH. I probably picked up a bad bottle; in fact, I am praying that I did this. Anyways, way too carbonated for an ESB, and I am really not picking up on a single hop. Overall, not my favorite. I am gonna go...well you fill in the blank. daknole (3000), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 27, 2009 Taste in Atlanta. Copperish color wtih an off white head. Lots of caramel on the nose and some cracker notes too. A touch of floral hops. Flavor isn’t good. Boring. Lacking any punch or anything distinguishable. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

Aroma is caramel and nutty, biscuit and toast, dry. Flavor is biscuit and toast with some tartness, very malt forward, caramel, in style. Medium to thin with creamy carbonation. Very much in style and drinkable. jstraw (774), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 20, 2009 Bottle… Clear orange ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is of light chocolate, beef stock and earthiness with a suggestion of lactic acid. Medium to full-bodied and oily with moderate carbonation. Nice, malty flavor. Balanced well by adequate, careful hopping. A gentle tinge of tart acidity. Mid-length, lightly bitter finish that numbs my tongue like Novocain. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 2, 2009 Dark amber with a tiny white head. Aroma is malty, but the flavor is very tangy and hoppy. Inexplicably hoppy. Not bad ... quite drinkable but odd. Can’t put my finger on it, but this is a weird beer. Infected bottle, perhaps?
