Sep 18, 2005 Growler, compliments of kp. Brown orangey pour. Light fruit and light blackberry aroma, some malts there too with some sourness. Blackberries were more prominent in flavor, and was semi-sweet upfront. Finished lightly bitter with a little yeast and funk. Decent lambic - I’d go for a growler of this if I were local.

Sep 11, 2005 Pours a dark copper amber with a lightly-lacing off-white head. Subtle blackberry fruity aroma has some earthy biscuit malt and a touch of tartness and cinnamon spice. Body starts with some light sugary fruity sweetness turning more funky and earthy with some bready yeastiness toward the finish. An interesting and complex brew, but could be more balanced.

Aug 27, 2005 Growler thanks to KP. Aroma is sweet and fruity up front that becomes tart with a touch of yeasty funk. Flavor is sweet and malty that finishes with light bitterness and funk.

Jun 13, 2005 Tap. Yeast and blackberry, hop aromas. Pours mahagony with a foamy white head; good lacing. Blackberry and faint malt with a yeast finish. Light and refreshing, crisp palate.

May 16, 2005 Very nice.
It is a blended brew, a Grand Cru and Lambic mixed and aged 3 years. It shows.
It is distinct in it’s character, and complex in flavor. I am impressed with it.
The flavor is quite complex, but not sour like the other raters have found. They need to try Goudenband!
Some soft cherry notes along with wood, herbs and leathery yeast.
The brewmaster did a nice job on this while having to conform to the NC 6.0% law. Which is being lifted to 15%, thank god.
I did not expect this level of craftmanship when I went in to the brewery. Jonas tries very hard to balance the flavors in his brews.

Nov 7, 2004 Not good. has a sour cherry flavor that i do not find appealing at all. not something i will ever drink again. pours a deep yellow with a kind of thick head. has a nice cherry aroma though

Oct 31, 2004 well what happened to my buddy after he drank this, is not my impression of it. he thought it was nasty and promptly decided to vomit. i thought it was rather smooth and had a nice flavor of cherries. pretty good (if this is a real lambic - it sure tastes like one.) i would drink this again, would be a great after dinner drink. sampled at brewgrass 04 on draught.
