Bottle. Nice medium brown color. Aroma sweet caramel malts and some roasted grain and toast. Taste is smooth and sweet and not complex with its flavors, just sweet and semi dry finish.

Bottle on 11/28/2008 in the Great Butters Tasting of 2008. Very clear dark brown body with ruby highlights and a large foamy off-white head. Sweet caramel, molassas, some roast and a bit of sour. Sweet caramel, molassas, light nutty hints with a good sour kick. Light body with moderate carbonation.

Bottle shared by hopsleeroy. Thanks Lee! Pours a dark brown to reddish color with a light beige head. Smell is dark and wheaty, gummy and nutty. Taste is fruity, nutty and gummy again with noticeable wheat. Really gummy wheatiness. Medium body and light carbonation. So so beer, overall.

22 oz. bomber bottle. Pours clear mahogany, with a rocky tan head that has great retention. Aroma is dominated by a clean, European malty character, with some brown sugar and light phenolic notes (banana) in the background along with some grainy and tart yeasty notes. Flavor balances dry and is predominantly grainy with an assertive malt profile and some fruity esters. Medium to medium-light bodied, smooth and creamy, with some warming character. Moderately-high carbonation. I thought this was a very enjoyable brew, but didn’t feel like it matched up real well with the style guidelines.
