Bottle from a trade with captaincougar. Sent in a picture to be uploaded. Bottle hand marked 4/08. Pours with a huge, light brown head and a hazy dark brown body. Good lacing. Aroma is sweet, unfinished beer with some fruitiness. Taste is tobacco, sweetness, nuts, long duration. Light bubbles, a bit of alcohol, and kind of syrupy.

Bottle thanks to BMan1113VR. Black brown pour with red highlights and a small grey fluffy head that quickly shrinks. Nose is unfinished beer and grass. Taste is bland, malty, sweet, dark malt and some coffee and bacon on the back end. Odd.

TN tasting at maniac’s. Dark brown pour with chestnut highlights and huge ’homebrew’ tan head. Nose is clean with dark fruit and a twinge of sourness. Toffee and nuttiness in flavor with hint infection? Not in a terribly offensive manner. Wierd.

22 oz bottle. Clear purple brown with a foamy beige head. Nose is sweet and sour dough with brown sugar and nuts. Crisp and tingly with a wheaty smoothness. Taste is caramel, some lemon zest and burnt sugar to finish. Pretty good; nice session stuff.

Bottle. Dark colored pour with a tan head on it. Smell was sweet and fruity with a little bit of banana in it. Citrus as well. Taste was lighter than I thought - a dark beer in looks only. Highly carbonated like a witte beer but with a nice roasted flavor of a dunkle. Pretty cool beer, good concept, and kinda refreshing.

an interesting twist. pours out dark brown with a large head. aroma was typical wheat brew. Flavor was pretty much the same. didnt get the Witte in there. the beer was tasty, but i would have never known there was a witte character to this brew without reading the bottle.
