Tap @ SD. Poured a clear orange-gold color with a small off-white head. The aroma is fruity with plum and a slight hint of banana. A lightly sweet. The flavor is light and finishes watery. Some mild tartness and fruit. Light body.

Surprisingly Pale Gold, thin white head. Unusual aroma - pine, cinnamon, maybe some other smells lingering under it, as well. Ginger, coriander flavors, too. Ultimatley kind of weak bodied. Interesting, but seems to be a bit lacking. Sampled at 2004 Asheville Brewgrass Festival.

Tap at Spuyten. Fairly non-descript, light sucrose throughout, a touch of belgian yeast. Mild malt body, some grassiness. Not as easy to drink as a 5% beer should be. Some banana.

a dubble? from nc? er.. ok.. well its not that great here. i would much rather have a rochefort 6, but hey..i guess thats another leauge. for what this beer does, it does well, and it isnt bad, but its just something i think one shouldnt take on with alcohol limitaions. it was kind of weak and thin. sampled at brewgrass 04 on draught.

On tap. Nice orange color but very thin white head. Floral aroma with a hint of apple. Slightly bitter with a lingering cinnamon taste. Mouthfeel is a little too fizzy for my liking much like all French Broad beers. Very enjoyable local beer.
