Dark brown pour with burgandy highlights. Notes of coffee, smoke, and roast in the nose. Flavor has a little lactic sourness and a somewhat cloying palate. Not bad though

Pours a dark black with a creamy tan head. Very chocolatey, coffee, roasty, nice smooth aroma. The flavor is similar, chocolatey, coffee, easy dry bitterness. Very enjoyable.

Tap at Brewgrass. Nearly black pour with lovely tan head. Roasty notes on the nose; coffee and creamy chocolate; malty. Some hop presence, but not a ton. A little thin on the palate, but immensely drinkable.

Had this one on draft at Barley’s in Asheville. Roasted flavors, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, molasses. Just a little hop character. Thick, filling, good drinkable stout. Sought out a growler to bring home.

From draught sample at French Broad. Smoky coffee, chocolate, and wood. Bit of vanilla and light grassy hops and ... sesame oil? Odd aroma for Irish stout but nice. dark black and oily with thin tan head. Heavy body with smooth carbonation. Starts with a bit of soy sauce and smoke, molasses, chocolate, coffee, and rich malty mash. Tangy sour character with a bit of hop bitterness. Finishes smooth with chocolate and molasses. Nice stout.

Appearance: glossy black, thin tan head, streaks of drippy lace,
Aroma: big roasted aroma with a dark chocolate character, hint of dark caramel, good dose of hops melding with the roasted malt,
Body: big creamy slick oatmeal body,
Flavor: big dark chocolate and roasted flavor, dark caramel adds a milky sweetness, light bitterness comes out of the dark chocolate,
Overall: milky sweetness along with the creamy oatmeal body turns this into a sweet stout,
