| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 12, 2006 On draft at Barley’s in Asheville. Clear amber color with a medium-lasting white head. Nice caramel malt aroma with some spicy hops. Flavor was also well hopped without being overpowering. I had a hard time figuring out if they were going for the Marzen or just a plain Amber lager. To me it sort of defies either style, but is still a tasty brew. Holdwine (908), Beertimore, Maryland, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 29, 2004 Slightly above average amber. Does all that an amber should do with decent malting to keep the beer going. Otherwise nothing too special. Wiseblood (658), Clarksville, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Nov 10, 2003 Soft fluffy head on top of a deep red body. First taste is of lightly spiced hops that quickly turns warm and malty. Aftertaste is sweet, but not overpowering. Suttree (2742), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 6, 2003 Brownish red, nice white head. Hardly any aroma. Seems to have a cola-ish quality in body and flavor; its just a little too carbonated. Kind of a a candy sweet flavor but finishes drier. Jmichael (633), Asheville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Aug 8, 2007 tasted at brewery, pours a clear amber, mild white head. crisp, refreshing, and mildly bitter. tronraner (1934), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 27, 2005 Draught. Pours a clear, medium-copper color with a white head that leaves reasonable lacing. The aroma is faint hops and seems a bit astringent. The palate is a bit fizzy, but has a comfortable density. I taste hops first, then the malt works its way into the finish. Also, as the beer warmed to room temperature, it got a bit cardboard-y.
