Aroma was of light brown sugar. Delicately sweet on the tongue with malty toffee, subdued brown sugar, and a hint of chocolate brownie and assorted fruits. Y’know, this brewery recently added "River" to their name, which although technically correct, is a lot less fun. Rusty color with minimal head, this has some very floral characteristics to start with bready malts at the back. Nice and chewy, a bit of caramel. Nose is full of malts and berries. Flavor is full of a nutty maltiness, more berries (blackberry, raspberry especially), a little caramel. The german malt profiles are very different and interesting.
