Nice hoppy flavor and a mild lingering taste. Not as "heavy" as i expected but definitely a nice brew from the South. Dogbrick (2901), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 5, 2009 thanks to Rogueone for sharing a bottle. The beer is a dark brownish-amber color with a medium foamy light beige head that diminishes slowly. Thin sheet of lacing on the glass. Sweet nutty and malty aroma. Medium, smooth body with flavors of caramel and malt along with touches of nuts and hops. The finish is sweet and malty with a light hoppy aftertaste. Above average overall, although this is more along the lines of what I would tend to think the "Heavy" would be like, rather than the "Heavy-er". JaBier (1261), Capital City, Ohio, USA

Tastes fresh and wonderful. Great lacing and the flavor is bold and palate filling yet not over powerful. Wonderful roasted sugar cane and malty flavors. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA

Seemed a bit off. nqualls (1428), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
