Bottle, 5.5% bought at the brewery. Malty aroma, creamy, slightly farty. Slightly hazy dark amber colour. Big stable creamy tan head. The flavour is malty and spicy, and tastes slightly stronger than its ABV. Quite nice.

Bottled at the brewpub. Amber colour, rich head. Fresh spicy hops up front. Medium bodied with dense, rounded mouthfeel. Well strcutured malt complimented by good amounts of spicy hops. Long salty bitterness.

Bottle (purchased at the Brauerei): "Pale copper" coloured with a huge fluffy off-white head, a bit unclear, sweet-malty (toasted malt too) aroma with a good touch of a franconian barnyard and distinctive traces of hops; moderate to stronger bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, soft MF; lingering hoppy and toasted-malty finish. Another franconian goody.........

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy amber golden with a nice, off-white head leaving some laces. Lightly burned caramel aroma. Medium-bodied with vaguely burned malty accents and some roast malt. Lightly bitter finish. 091106

A very hazy orange beer with a thick fluffy light orange head. The aroma is sweet with a strong citrusy hop note. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and citrusy hop notes.

Bottled. Almost clear amber colour. Huge, slightly off-white, rocky head that took ages to diminish. Grassy hops aroma with a little hint of oak. Malty taste with a hint of honey and some caramel. Medium sweet. Low to medium hop-bitter finish. Great stuff. Thanks to bierkoning for this lovable Franconian beer.

Amber color, small head. Yeasty peararoma. Sweetish, hopbitter flavor. Malty, in fact thick. Amazingly complex with oak and tropical fruit. Long herbal bitter finish.
