Golden, sparkly. Nice thick head. Deep pale malt and noble hop aroma. Light to moderate bitterness but lots of bready pale malts. Good balanced beer straddling the line between a helles and a pils. Late diacetyl emerging.

draft @ brewery. Golden and clear with gorgeous doily lacing. Aroma is very clean, with cereal and granola. Is a bit thin and watery in the palate. Clean, almost too clean. No farm flavors but every once in a while the hops come out and there are some nice blonde wood flavors too.

Bottle, 4.8% bought at the brewpub. Weak flowery aroma. Clear golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is quite malty, light malts and a hint of chalk. Mild and mellow, but OK.

(6/30/08) Draught at Stöhrenkeller in Bamberg. Slightly hazy yellow to pale golden color with a white head. Aroma has some sweet malt, hints of citrus, and nice hops. A bit of sweetness in the initial flavor and then dry with light hoppiness and a bit of citrusy and grassy hints but only very mild bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Draught at Stöhrenkeller, Bamberg. Clear golden, small head. Deep buttery nose. Soft, sweetish malt dried out by grassy hops. Wonderfully well structured malt superbly balanced by the grassy hops. Long but mild bitterness. Orthodox but superb, A fantastic beer, almost iconic in it’s simplicity.

On tap at Wilde Rose Beer Keller, Bamberg. Yellow gold with white head. Quite heavily carbonated with cardboardy note. Light and lemony, sweetish malt with a touch of betteryness.

Yellow colored, little white head. Rich yeasty and lemony, well-hopped handmade aroma. Some skunkiness also there. Medium bodied. Flavor is also rich with biting hops and lemony yeast, this biting tone dominates. Hops last in aftertaste with some nice butter.

Draft. A light yellow beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of flowers and hops. The flavor is sweet malty with a flowery hoppy note.
