Frugal Joes Ordinary Beer

Bottle. Pale straw with a slight cold haze and a moderate bubbly white foam head. Nondescript sweet malt aroma, corn. Very fizzy and carbonated with little flavor, just a bland sweetness followed by a cloying astringent finish. Super light, but oddly not that driinkable because of the lingering aftertaste.

12oz bottle from Trader Joes. Pours a clear yellow with a small white fizzy head. It looks like frothy urine. Aroma is of corn and malt. Taste is of corn, grain, and malt. Not too much to say about this beer, taste wise. It was just a crisp, easy drinking pale lager, that was neither offensive or bad. Great for hot summer days, or nights in the gutter.

Bottle... Poured yellowish with a white head. Mostly malted cracker grains and a cheap corn flavor with a mild sweetness in the finish.

Had with Maniac on 4/15/09. Pours a super pale piss color. Smells very skunky. Not much head to speak of. Some malt in there maybe? Definitely no hops. I guess for the price it is acceptable. You be the judge.

Bottle from Trader Joes - Short Pump on 04/15/2009. Very clear pale yellow body with a fizzy white head. Sweet corn and skunky grain aroma. Corn and grain flavor, some slight stale notes. Medium light body with moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Pours golden yellow in color with a pure white foamy head. The aroma is weak, dominated mostly by sweet corny malt. There really isn’t much going on in the flavor dept. Mainly just a light malty sweetness dominated again by a lot of corn filler. It has a thin body and not much of a finish.

Very ordinary beer, but that is the point. Kind of funny ot buy as a novelty. Probably a little bit better than your average macorbrew, but not all that good. Really the high point of this beer is the packaging.
