Pours a very clear, gold and slightly green tinged color with a small white head. Looks a lot like a white wine. Smells of pale malt and light hops. Its actually not bad, better quality than macro-brewed budweiser, et al. Taste could be stronger, as could the aroma, but then I guess this wouldn’t be a pale lager anymore. Decent brew, thanks Joe.

12 oz bottle from Trader Joe’s Brilliantly clear and bright; slightly more yellow than a chardonnay, with very slight bubble ring around the edge. Aroma is pleasant with hints of malt and floral hops. Flavor is similar and typical of the style -- actually better than what I expected. This seems cleaner and bigger than the average pale lager. <P>For what it’s intended to be, this is a nice beer. Definitely a good lawnmower brew.

Pours pale clear yellow with no lasting head. Smell is lightly sweet malt, honey and hay like. taste is thin, but crisp, sweet and cereal like. Mild bitterness but ends sweet. Bubbly mouthfeel with no off flavors and better than expected. Drinkable.

Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours cloudy yellow with an aroma of corn popls and lemon. Flavor is tangy corn and Kix. Palate is thin but it spreads the flavor. Probably better on a hot day.

Gold Color with White Ring. Found in Maryland. Sweet Grains on the Nose. Sweet Dry Grains Flavor. Overall, an Ordinary Average Lawnmower Lager....But Then, it IS Called ’Frugal Joes Ordinary Beer’, so I’d Say Schell’s Delivered on This One.

Yes, this is a cheap beer. Pours like any other macro standard (e.g., Bud, MGD, Coors). Not much aroma, yet it is slightly sweet. Tastes better and fresher than its contemporaries. Not a great beer, but beats anything else I've tasted for $3.75/six pack

12oz bottle pours blonde with a short white head. Aromas isn light grains and mild grassy hops. Flavor is about the same. Nothing offensive. It is just as the name states ordinary.. Better than budweiser, but Sam Adams light has way more flavor than this.

12oz bottle-pours a foamy white and very pale yellow color. Aroma is grain, musty. Taste is grain, sweet (corn?), musty, mild light hops. OK/mild carbonation.
