Pours clear golden with an off-white head. Aroma includes caramel malts, and is fresh and inviting, Flavor is sweet and bitter with a slight acidity towards the end. Light to medium body with an average carbonation. Not half bad!

As a first try to a darker beer than regular pils/lager, this beer can be used to not scare the crap out of beer-beginners.

Draught, Trafalgar Pub, Oslo. Brilliant jelly red. Sourish sake pickle aroma (©AvidDirtman), joined by beeswax and caramel. Bizarre sourish caramel-gherkin-red fruit balance. Yawn of sun-baked wheelie bin in the background. Never sure if it was in the street or in my beer. Not disgusting, a style of beer unto itself...

Bottle. Pours golden with a small white head, disappears rather fast. Weak malty aroma. Watery mouthfeel, disappoints me.Not much of taste here, rather bad dunkel.

Pours a rather large white head, which disappears fast. Medium carbonation, unfortunately this also disappears faster than I could finish the beer. The aroma is vague, can’t really smell anything but a bit of alcohol. A taste of light hops, hint of caramel, but not much else. This beer on tap was the start of my urge to drink anything but standard Norwegian lager, plus for that. But overrall it’s a very dull beer, but definitely a better alternative than lagers in the same price class.

03.05.2009, 0,33l Bottle. The colour is brown with a litlle red. The beer does not taste and smell as much as you should think from the colour. Body is medium. Also rated 17.10.2003, 2.3.
