chris_o (4409), London, Greater London, England Sep 21, 2007 Bottled at Kobehavnske Oldage, May 2006. Murky red/brown colour. Sweet malt and farmyard in the aroma, coupled with a slightly sour notes that intensifies on the palate. Some estery fruit too. It has a sort of Saison-like feel to it but leaves a rather incongruous sweet aftertaste. Not entirely sure what is being aimed at here but it comes off well enough without quite hitting the high notes.
faroeviking (4167), Faroese Beer Republic über, Denmark Jan 11, 2007 Bottle. Red-brown hazy colour. Sweet malty aroma with some sourness. Flavour is malty, caramellic, sour and hoppy. MPA (423), Nørrebro(formerly Aalborg), Denmark Dec 6, 2006 Bottle. Reddish with an orange glow and a nice, big beige head. Acidic aroma with citrus, sweetness, malt and cellar in it. The flavour is malty and slightly acidic along with a light sweetness and a vague bitterness. Funny enough this gets better after a couple of bottles of red wine. duff (5405), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Aug 22, 2006 Bottle@Købehavnske Øldage. Sweetish, caramelly, with some light roastyness. A little grainy and sticky, with some light spicyness. Finish is sticky. yngwie (3529), Kristiansand, Norway Jun 21, 2006 Bottled, 75cl champagne-cork. Cph Beerfestival. Volcanoed out of the bottled, and it wouldn’t stop either. Reddish brown in color, with a huge beige head and lots of flakes floating around in it. Mild, lightly roasted aroma with some dried fruits. A medium body with flavors of caramel and lightly roasted malt. Long, bitter finsih. A bit boring beer. (060519)
