Commercial Description:
Brewed using air and oven dried Pallas malt and unmalted Ølands wheat, the bittering hops come from one of our own German varieties - Hallertauer Magnum - while the aroma hops are Winge8. This beer is fermented using a standard ale yeast. In spite of the fact that the alcohol is only 4.4% ABV, it still has a powerful body. In the glass it shows a beautiful creamy and light brown head, that covers the golden-red-brown beer. The flavor is uncommonly rich with a living aromatic fullness, where the malts have a dominant role, taken over by a long freshness from the hops, that makes the flavor linger.

Bottled at Kobehavnske Oldage, May 2006. Murky red/brown colour. Sweet malt and farmyard in the aroma, coupled with a slightly sour notes that intensifies on the palate. Some estery fruit too. It has a sort of Saison-like feel to it but leaves a rather incongruous sweet aftertaste. Not entirely sure what is being aimed at here but it comes off well enough without quite hitting the high notes.

Bottle. Reddish with an orange glow and a nice, big beige head. Acidic aroma with citrus, sweetness, malt and cellar in it. The flavour is malty and slightly acidic along with a light sweetness and a vague bitterness. Funny enough this gets better after a couple of bottles of red wine.

Bottle@Købehavnske Øldage. Sweetish, caramelly, with some light roastyness. A little grainy and sticky, with some light spicyness. Finish is sticky.

Bottled, 75cl champagne-cork. Cph Beerfestival. Volcanoed out of the bottled, and it wouldn’t stop either. Reddish brown in color, with a huge beige head and lots of flakes floating around in it. Mild, lightly roasted aroma with some dried fruits. A medium body with flavors of caramel and lightly roasted malt. Long, bitter finsih. A bit boring beer. (060519)
