Distinct malt aroma with dried fruits. Sweet malt flavor but not as sweet as feared. Low carbonation, no hops bitterness, long sweet aftertaste. A nice surprise. JensenTaster (1485), Denmark May 27, 2008 (on bottle) Very plesant burt ryebread and melasses-aroma. Soft, creamy mouthfeel. A bit watery and flat finish, but overall a nice brew here. Enjoyit (1108), Vadum, Denmark Apr 1, 2008 Dark brown of color with a nice brown head. An aroma with malt, molasse, syrup and dark fruits. A round flavor with notes of sugar, sweet malt and caramel and weak hints of roasted malt. Maria (4439), Thisted, Denmark Feb 2, 2008 Dark brown with a red hue and a nice, huge head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, sweetness, caramel and hints of licorice. The flavour naturally is sweet, but not cloying as in many other Hvidtøl. It has notes of roasted malt, caramel and a nice hint of licorice. The finish has a very light bitterness, kind of roasted. I always get happy when I find a nice Hvidtøl, I like to drink one from time to time.
