Dark brown with a red hue and a nice, huge head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, sweetness, caramel and hints of licorice. The flavour naturally is sweet, but not cloying as in many other Hvidtøl. It has notes of roasted malt, caramel and a nice hint of licorice. The finish has a very light bitterness, kind of roasted. I always get happy when I find a nice Hvidtøl, I like to drink one from time to time.

Bottle at ØLbaren. Almost black - brown head. High sweetness, brown sugar, raisins, very simpel - needs some bread - ryebread.

Bottled. A red-brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of licorice and straw, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry finish with light notes of straw lingering. Thanks Myrup for sharing.

Bottle. Clear red brown coloured with an off white ehad. Sweet aroma of syrup, caramel and butter. Sweet flavour of malts, caramel and dried fruits. Light watery.

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown and with a reddish hue and a light brown head. Sweet malty aroma. Flavour is malty sweet, slight note of brewmash. Ends with a raisin sweet flavour. Nice.

Bottled. Rye bread and caramel aroma. Sweet bready flavour. Not as sweet as most hvidtøl. Actually quite well balanced and pleasant.

Bottle. Deep brown almost black colour witha nice big light brown creamish head. Fair lacing. Quite sweet roasty caramel and maltiness in the aroma. Good mouthfeel. Quite the sweet flavour too with toasted malt, toasted caramel, some dark fruits and brown sugar. Just a bit too sweet for me in general but a very good Danish Hvidtøl style beer. Tak til ulven.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a clear, warm, reddish brown with a beige head. Sweetish aroma of caramel and roasted malt. Fairly light in body but good malt and caramel accents. Subdued bitterness but fairly well balanced and not overly sweet. 130507
