Nov 24, 2007 Bottled. A red-brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of licorice and straw, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry finish with light notes of straw lingering. Thanks Myrup for sharing.

May 19, 2007 (Bottle 33 cl) Pours a clear, warm, reddish brown with a beige head. Sweetish aroma of caramel and roasted malt. Fairly light in body but good malt and caramel accents. Subdued bitterness but fairly well balanced and not overly sweet. 130507

Nov 21, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown and with a reddish hue and a light brown head. Sweet malty aroma. Flavour is malty sweet, slight note of brewmash. Ends with a raisin sweet flavour. Nice.

Aug 29, 2005 Bottle. Aroma of brown sugar, metallic. Very dark brown colour, unstable head. Very sweet flavour, nicely roasted, fresh-ground coffee aftertaste. Too sweet for me, but aftertaste is quite good.

Feb 2, 2008 Dark brown with a red hue and a nice, huge head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, sweetness, caramel and hints of licorice. The flavour naturally is sweet, but not cloying as in many other Hvidtøl. It has notes of roasted malt, caramel and a nice hint of licorice. The finish has a very light bitterness, kind of roasted. I always get happy when I find a nice Hvidtøl, I like to drink one from time to time.

Sep 26, 2007 Bottle. Deep brown almost black colour witha nice big light brown creamish head. Fair lacing. Quite sweet roasty caramel and maltiness in the aroma. Good mouthfeel. Quite the sweet flavour too with toasted malt, toasted caramel, some dark fruits and brown sugar. Just a bit too sweet for me in general but a very good Danish Hvidtøl style beer. Tak til ulven.

Feb 28, 2007 Bottle. Pours very black with brownish sides. Head is big and creamy with a brownish edge. Aroma is very sweet with a dark caramel tone. Very malty taste - quite sweet. Too sweet (as usual). A touch of a roasted aftertaste.
