Brown pour with small head. Not a big aroma, but some caramel and roast. Nice flavor of malt with a good bit of carmael, grain and just a bit of spice on the finish.

Dark copper color with a thin head. Light grain and sweet caramel malt aroma. The taste is pretty similar. Thick and chewy malt, with a bit of chalkiness.

Big malt and wood aroma with an inviting brown color. Big sweet and oak flavor with some warming alcohol. The perfect winter texture and moderately dry. Not the biggest doppelbock I’ve had but well done. Great price point.

Pint - Uber Café - Seattle, WA
Aroma – Big malt aroma. Some nice aged wood aromas also.
Appearance – Brown in color, hazy with a nice light head.
Flavor – Sweet mild malts with a roasty and oak edge to the flavor .Just seemed to be too mild and not strong.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, Good texture with a dry Doppel finish.
Overall – A very nice beer maybe it will catch on with aging butt his beer was a tad under done. Needed more malt and extra flavoring to make this beer bigger. Would like to have seen more nutty and roast flavors just a boost in flavor would have made this beer.

Pours a fine looking pint--brown-amber decent head. Musty aroma, mild malt, underwhelming. Flavor again characterized by a mustiness, diffuse malt, aged wood sourness, noble hops, touch of sulfur. On the whole, pretty disappointing. Another underwhelming American doppel. I wonder if they did a decoction mash on this?--doesn’t taste like it. Lacking in the melanoidin/aromatic malt characteristics. Boring, uncomplex, but remarkably drinkable for the ABV.

Bomber from BevMo. Pours a dark ruby/cola color. Somewhat sweet roasted malt aroma. Smooth somewhat rich and roasted flavors. Very easy to drink. Roasted malty finish. Solid effort. The 8% is a little too well hidden for my liking of this style.

On tap @ Falling Rock poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting creamy ambere head. Aromas of dark fruit, molasses, brown sugar, carmel and a hint of nuts. Palate was medium bodied and smootrh. Flavors of dark fruit, brown sugar and carmel with a smooth lingering malty finish.

22 oz bottle courtesy of DA, shared with folks at the 10/18 tasting. Pour is auburn golden with a 1/2 inch white head. Aroma is pretty faint, some maltiness - caramel. Taste is slightly sweet caramel, toasted, nice grassiness. Taste is good, smooth, clean. Palate is a little slick, oily, really drinkable. Very sessionable beer. This was a nice one, thanks Derek!
