Pours a deep reddish brown with off-white head. As expected this is a sweet and malty beer. Caramel malt, toasted grain, brown sugar, notes of dark fruit and nuts. Decent, but nothing that stands out.

This dark copper ale poured with a decent beige head and a caramel malt aroma. There is an intense malt flavor featuring caramel and brown sugar, and enough hop presence to add a pleasant slightly bitter finish. A well-crafted brew.

Bomber bought at the Utah State Wine Store. Pours a copper color with a medium head that goes down to next to nothing. The aroma is very nice; loads of sweet malts, some banana and burnt caramel. The taste is also quite nice; tons of malts, some banana and caramel, some bitter hops also. A earthy full finish. The mouthfeel is medium and very smooth. A great doppelbock, very true to the style. Congrats on 21 years Full Sail, here’s to 21 more. A nice brew.

Pours a warm mahogony color from the bomber with a crisp tan head of foam that quickly dissapates. Smells and tastes of brown sugar, raisins, creamy malts, caramel, and red apples. A little light in body, but with a warming amount of booze on the finish.

Bottle. Brown / amber pour with some off white head. Sugary malt, some light pit fruit aroma. Flavor is the same, fruity and sweet / brown sugary; a little bit of spice and a nuts. Pretty good.

650 ml bottle from Bev4less. Pours a translucent brown with a medium off- white head. The aroma is moderately strong with brown sugar, molasses, roasted grains and caramel. The flavor was crisp with molasses and brown sugar dominating, there is a bit of hops, dark fruits and grains rounding out the sides, but at the back end there is a touch of alcohol. The mouthfeel is smooth and crisp. The finish is long with lingering light molasses. Overall: Except for that slight alcohol flavor this was a very sessionable dopplebock.

Pours clear ruby brown with a minimal off-white head that quickyl turns into a ring of bubbles. Aroma of cereal, roasty malt, brown sugar, straw, with toffee. Nice malty doppel with the strong Noble hop as advertised. A little thin for the style, but still very nice.

Deep brown hue with amber highlights, off white head dissipates, good clarity. Aroma is sweet and rich German-style malts, moderate toast and melanoidins, mild hops, dark fruit esters, no diacetyl, modest alcohol. Flavor is rich and malty with prominent toast and strong melanoidins, light earthy hop flavor and modest smooth alcohol in the middle, hints of prunes and dark fruit, clean lager yeast, finishes sweet and drying. Palate is medium-bodied, smooth texture lacking in astringency, moderate carbonation. A decent example of the style that is slightly out of balance, the malts are slightly weak while the hops are slightly strong, drinkability hampered by the modest alcohol presence.
