Aug 27, 2008 2008 Bottled. I really like the idea of an employee-owned brewery like Full Sail Brewing Company...it really helps that their beer is enjoyable as well. Smells of roasted nuts and malts. Looks dark amber with a quickly dissipating cream-colored head. The flavor is intriguing with an interesting interplay between the malts, which do have a chocolatey flavor, combined with a good spicing of hops. Very well combined. Recommended.

Aug 27, 2008 From a bottle poured a nice amber color with a fair amount of head. Nice carmale flavor with a strong finish.

Aug 22, 2008 Light floral aroma with hints of carmel and burned sugars. Light ruby brown with toasted tan head. Suprisingly good flavor. Carmel, light coffee, hints of toffee with just a touch of herbal spice. Nice mouth feel. Overall drinkable, would pair well with foods.

Aug 19, 2008 Malty aroma. Clear amber w/ a small off white head. Sweet roasted grain flavor with a very slight hop aftertaste. Decent mouth feel. A pretty good Amber but nothing too special.

Aug 14, 2008 Translucent brown hue with a fast fading head. No carbonation in the glass. Not a good omen. A tasty smelling beer, fruity pumpkin and lemon combined with a buttery wheat aroma. A very buttery pumpkin flavor and a toasty malt. An altogether complex and tasty flavor. Palate is buttery as well. The beer rebounded nicely from the pallid appearance. Overall, this beer outperforms many highly regarded British counterparts. No need to look overseas for a fine amber ale.

Aug 12, 2008 Bottle into shaker. Fresh, mild, malty aroma. Classic, deep, clear amber color with small off-white head and some sparse, spotty lacing. Nicely rich, roasted malty flavor. Notes of wood, faint spice, and chocolate. Clean, crisp hop character making for a satisfying finish. Smooth and easy drinking quality. Solid, if not spectacular brew. Enjoyable.

Aug 10, 2008 Deep amber colored with a thin head and some spotty lacing. Aroma is malty, a bit toasty, with subtle hints of fruit. Sweet, roasted malty and fruity flavors up front with light traces of hops and bitterness on the back end but it does finish a little weak. Pretty good but not great.

Aug 10, 2008 Clear amber pour with a tight foamy head that lasts. Sweet caramel malt and fruit aroma, with some citrus hops notes as well. Flavor is much the same, with a good hop bite on the finish. Light and refreshing on the palate. A nice session amber.
